Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using ChamberTrades ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Description of Service
ChamberTrades provides a data platform that aggregates, enriches, and displays publicly available congressional stock trade disclosures filed under the STOCK Act. The Service is provided for informational purposes only and does not constitute financial advice.
Account Registration
To access certain features you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate information during registration, maintain the security of your password, and notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
Subscriptions and Billing
Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. By subscribing you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until cancelled.
- → You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account page.
- → Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- → We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods.
- → We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice to subscribers.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- ✕ Scrape, copy, or redistribute data from ChamberTrades without written permission
- ✕ Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- ✕ Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
- ✕ Share your account credentials with others
- ✕ Use automated tools to access the Service in a way that places unreasonable load on our servers
Intellectual Property
The underlying congressional disclosure data is public domain. Our enrichment, scoring methodology, design, and software are proprietary to ChamberTrades. You may not reproduce or redistribute our platform or its unique data products without written permission.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will be complete or accurate. Use of the Service is at your own risk.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ChamberTrades shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits or data, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at hello@chambertrades.com.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
